The challenge: a website that didn’t feel like The Addison
The Addison isn’t an ordinary sports bar. It’s a place where guests can watch a game in a room that feels considered and exclusive, and where companies can host large events. The website needed to set that expectation before anyone walked in.
SpotHopper didn’t give the team the control they wanted over the look, UI, or overall experience. For a venue where presentation matters this much, that was a real limitation. Addison needed a site that felt like Addison.
The first move: build around the room
Derby replaced the SpotHopper setup with a custom website built around Addison’s own identity. The venue, its atmosphere, and the reasons guests come in lead the experience. Reservations, events, and private-event inquiries each have a clear next step.
That mattered for two different guests: someone choosing where to watch a game and a corporate planner deciding whether Addison is right for a major event. Both needed to understand the place quickly, then know what to do next.
What happened after the switch
From March to September 2026, Addison’s site visits increased by 400%. That is a major change in attention, but traffic alone isn’t the whole story. The site also gives that attention somewhere useful to go: a reservation, an event, or a private-event conversation.
The adaptation: keep working after the visit
Derby’s work didn’t stop with the new site. We’re running email marketing to reach guests again, managing private-event conversations and follow-up sequences, and managing Addison’s Google Business Profile to support its local visibility.
That gives Addison a more connected way to present the venue, bring people back, and stay on top of event interest rather than treating the website as a one-time project.
The result: 400% more site visits
The Addison now has a website that reflects the venue and gives the team the flexibility it wanted from the start. Site visits increased by 400% from March to September 2026, while the work around email, private events, and Google continues.
