The challenge: a site that wasn’t working to bring people in
Juke Bar has two New York bars with different neighborhoods to win: one in the East Village and one in Bushwick. Its old website wasn’t doing enough for either of them. There was no deliberate SEO content aimed at the searches guests were making, and the site had not been properly optimized to compete on Google.
The team also needed better service than it was getting from SpotHopper. Website changes and support should not be another job for people already running two busy bars. And when someone wanted to book a party, that interest needed a reliable path to the team.
The first move: build for both neighborhoods
Derby rebuilt Juke Bar’s site around the two locations instead of treating them as interchangeable. Each bar could speak to its own guests through relevant pages for its menu, drinks, events, and parties.
We also began the SEO work the old site was missing: creating useful local content and optimizing the site so people searching for a bar in either neighborhood could find the right Juke Bar location.
What happened when more guests found Juke Bar
The Bushwick location reached #1 on Google for “best bar in Bushwick” within six months of the switch. That visibility gave Juke Bar a stronger way to reach people deciding where to go, not just people who already knew its name.
Private-event interest grew too. Across both locations, inquiries rose 18% over six months. More inquiries meant the team needed a better way to answer and organize them, not just a better-looking party page.
The adaptation: make every party inquiry easier to handle
Derby connected Juke Bar’s party inquiries to its CRM and follow-up process. The AI concierge helps with the early conversation, so a guest asking about an event gets a response and the team has the details it needs to take over.
That combination matters: the site helps people find the bars and ask about a party; the system behind it helps Juke Bar keep up when they do.
The result: more inquiries and a stronger local presence
Juke Bar’s Bushwick location reached #1 for “best bar in Bushwick,” while private-event inquiries across both locations increased 18% over six months. Conor’s existing story gives the practical side of the result: party booking is easier, the website is more customizable, and the team is happier with the switch.
