How we increased Al Forno's call volume by 49.43%
Al Forno, rated Louisville's #1 Italian Restaurant, reached out to Derby Digital in March of 2025. Al Forno was like most restaurants we work with: they didn't have much of an online presence, rarely used social media, and didn't even have a website. As a result, online sales and to-go orders were practically nonexistent, something that we were tasked with fixing. We did so by employing an iteration of our 5-step Kitchen To Kingdom™ marketing framework.
Before working with us, Al Forno didn't even have a website or online ordering system. They were therefore missing out on thousands of dollars in online ordering revenue & hundreds of potential customers. We knew we had to change this asap.
As a result, we developed out a custom, branded website with an emphasis on conversions. This means that Al Forno's website focused on converting cold website traffic into online orders & actual restaurant visitors, which led to a significant increase in revenue and phone calls.
Prior to working with us, Al Forno merely had an auto-generated Google Business Profile, completely devoid from any offers, coupons, or any incentives that would convert google traffic into an online order or restaurant visitor.
As a result, we took to optimizing their Google Profile by employing local SEO tactics, backlink building, citation lists, an an offer-based & incentivized coupon system.
These continuous improvements and posts drastically improved Al Forno's rankings on Google to the point where if you search "Italian food on Dixie Highway, Louisville", you'll see Al Forno as number 1.
This is an incredibly powerful acquisition tool for Al Forno as they're able to be discovered by new high-intent customers with ease and don't have to worry about running expensive ads to acquire new customers.
After 3 months, Al Forno had seen drastic 49.43% increase in their phone calls & online ordering. They were seamlessly being seen on Google through Search Engine Optimization, converting website traffic into online orders & phone calls through their conversion-based website, and boosting loyalty through their offers & coupons.
However, we noticed a bottleneck in Al Forno's marketing pipeline: although their loyalty had been greatly boosted, they were losing quite a few customers due to people simply forgetting about them. Once people ordered & redeemed their coupon, they had no incentive to continue ordering & visiting Al Forno.
As a result, we introduced our proprietary software to Al Forno: our Kitchen To Kingdom™ software. This software was simply setup for Al Forno by connecting it to their Google, website, & social medias, and provided us with detailed analytics that were pertinent to future SEO campaigns.
We also developed out an automated SMS marketing system through our software, which allowed past customers to be seamlessly tracked & segmented. Every time a customer ordered, we would upload their data to our software & segment them out according to gender, age, race, etc. Using this data, we were able to identify ordering patterns & desired food items, which allowed us to engage in hyper-targeted SMS marketing to these select patrons.
The result? Loyalty was boosted by more than 31% as customers once again had an incentive & reason to visit Al Forno.
As of writing this (June 28, 2025), we have increased Al Forno's call volume by 49.43% through an iteration of our Kitchen To Kingdom™ marketing system.
